A historian will reveal his research into controversial character William Stukeley this week.

Stamford Mercury Archive Trust secretary John Smith will give a talk entitle William Stukeley in Stamford: his Houses, Gardens and a Project for a Palladian Triumphal Arch over Barn Hill at Stamford Arts Centre on Thursday at 7.30pm.

The research Mr Smith has done for the talk will be used in an article to be published later this year in the Antiquaries Journal.

Tickets are available from the arts centre, costing £5 or concessions £4.50.
