HUNDREDS of people enjoyed a weekend of beer, entertainment and sun at an annual village beer festival.
The Rippingale Beer Festival was held between Friday and Sunday and visitors were treated to more than 20 real ales and ciders and live music.
The event also featured a tea and cake stall, run by the village’s Bunting Babes group, a barbecue organised by the village allotment group, and a sweet stall held by the local scout group.
Gail Hyland, who helped organise the event, said: “The whole festival went very well.
“We had perfect weather and it was very busy the whole weekend.
“Everyone enjoyed all the real ales and it was nice to see female visitors trying out the beers too.
“The music was also very well received and we’d like to thank everyone for coming.”
Proceeds from the event are still being counted but Gail hopes it has raised more than £2,000 which will be split between emergency response group Lincolnshire Lives and the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.
