AN EVENING where women were invited to get pampered raised more than £500 for a hospice.

St Barnabas Hospice charity held its first indulgence evening in the Bourne area on Friday last week at Wake House in North Street.

Twenty-six stalls offered everything from beauty treatments and products, to chocolates, perfumes and fashion accessories. There was also a fish foot spa and a clairvoyants.

Hannah Thompson, hospice community fundraiser for Stamford and Bourne, said: “It is the first evening like this we have held and it went really well.

“We had more than 100 people through the door and we raised £550, which is a great amount for an indulgence evening.

“We’d definitely consider doing another.”
