Staff at a housing association showed their support for men’s cancer charities by giving up their razors for a month.

Male employees at Spire Homes, based in Cold Overton Road, Oakham, grew moustaches last month for Movember.

The global scheme aims to raise money and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK and the Institute of Cancer Research.

Twelve men took part who between them raised more than £1,000.

Team captain Jody Brooker said: “This was a great way of providing our colleagues with visual entertainment for a month. The team have done a fantastic job and a huge thank you to all our sponsors.”
