A PARATROOPER who was injured in Afghanistan has returned to his former school to give an account of his experiences to pupils.

Pte Luke Morrison, 23, of Stamford, visited Casterton Business and Enterprise College on Tuesday last week.

Luke lost part of his left leg in February during a bomb blast, while he was serving in Afghanistan with the Parachute Regiment.

Since the accident, he has made a remarkable recovery and is now walking well using a prosthetic.

Teacher Tom Weller said Luke’s story was an “eye-opener”.

He said: “We are amazed at how well Luke has recovered since the accident.

“His positive attitude was a real inspiration to our pupils, who were clearly moved by his story.”

Luke also told the pupils what a difference the money they have raised for Help for Heroes makes.
