JUST under 300 people visited an open garden over the weekend.

Ivan and Sadie Hall opened their garden in Hall Road, Haconby, on Saturday and Sunday to raise money for the National Gardens Scheme, which benefits gardening and nursing charities.

They also sold refreshments to raise money for a charity of their choice, which was the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.

There was also a huge plant stall.

In total, the weekend raised about £1,300.

Mr Hall said: “It was brilliant. On Saturday, the weather was warm and windy and on Sunday, it will be particularly warm.

“There is a lot going on in our garden and we always get very favourable comments.”

The couple are also hoping to hold organised evening visits to raise more money.
