A group who are campaigning to improve a playarea in Bourne have chosen the latest winner for their park design competition.
Bourne2Play who are raising money to improve the playarea on the Wellhead Park, Bourne, ran a competition for pupils at Bourne Westfield Primary Academy to help design the new park.
Melissa Elson, from year four was chosen as the winner and was presented with a prize of a new colouring set and book, by Bourne2Play members Anna Rogers, Paula Brett and Claire Carter.
Anna Rogers, Chairman of Bourne2Play, said: “We chose Melissa’s design because it was so creative with great ideas, like a rocket slide, climbing wall, tree house and music garden.
“We will use Melissa’s ideas along with the other entries we’ve had, to help design a better, more exciting play area on the Wellhead in Bourne.”
The previous winner of the competition was Lola Waumsley from Bourne Abbey Primary Academy who was presented with her prize in July.
Bourne2Play are also holding a spooktacular Halloween Roller Disco at Harper’s Leisure Centre in Bourne for 9-16 year old’s on October 30 from 7-9pm, entry fee is £5.
