Letter: Supporting cricket clubs

In response to your article in the Mercury on November 9 we would like to thank you for highlighting the continued problems and issues with our cricket ground.

Throughout last year we had fundraising events to keep our village cricket club open.

Due to vandalism to the pitch we are finding ourselves in a difficult position financially.

This season we need to double our fundraising and sponsorship simply to keep the club running.

If anyone feels they would like to help by either sponsorship of a match ball or to advertise in our hand book please contact Simon Ford on 01780 440864 simonfordpandh@btinternet.com All donations are very welcome and we look forward to any visitors next season.

David Lattimore

President of Easton-on-the-Hill Cricket Club
