Soccer move needs red card

IT is with dismay that I read on The Daniels website about proposals to move the football ground on to what is now farmland off Ryhall Road.

I must state that I have a vested interest in this. My home, along with many others, looks over this field.

Have the directors of the Daniels and Burghley Estates considered the devastation this will cause to the quality of life for the people living in this area if this plan comes to fruition or are they more concerned with the financial aspect?

Have they considered noise and light pollution, increase in traffic, reduction in house values and the peace and quiet people have a legal right to.

The Daniels website states: "This move will strengthen the links with the community", when in fact it will cause chaos, disruption and blight people's lives in the area.

Did it not occur to the directors of The Daniels and Burghley Estates to canvas an opinion from the people living in the area before going ahead?

The existing club seems to work where it is now so why move it.

I realise this makes me a nimby but I chose to live in this area for its views over open farmland and I'd like it stay that way.
