Libraries across the county are set to celebrate National Library Day on Saturday.
To mark the occasion, venues throughout Rutland are running a number of offers to encourage borrowers through the doors.
Libraries will be open in Ketton, Ryhall and Uppingham from 9am to midday on Saturday, and in Oakham from 9am to 4pm.
Everyone who visits and borrows three items or more will be eligible for a free cotton bag, as well as a free CD or DVD or Nintendo Wii game available for loan.
There will also be an amnesty in place on Saturday for borrowers to bring back overdue books without having to pay any fines.
Rutland County Council leader Roger Begy said: “There is no better time to get down to your local library than to celebrate National Library Day.
“If you have not visited for a while, this is the ideal opportunity to rediscover your local library.”
