Tickets have gone on sale for a summer party in the grounds of Oakham Castle.
The event, run by DG Music, will be held on Sunday, June 29, from 4pm to 9.30pm and will include top acts such as Funk Soul Brother, The Houndogs, The Atlantics and Govannen.
The party will mark the 10th anniversary of the agency and company director David Graham hopes the event will fill the gap which has been left in Rutland’s social calendar following the cancellation of this year’s Oakham Festival.
The headline act Funk Soul Brother, which features David himself on the saxophone, will perform a mix of classic and modern funk, soul and pop tunes.
The Houndogs will entertain the crowds with their top rockabilly songs while The Atlantics will perform a range of rock and pop classics from the 60s to today. Other entertainment comes from the popular Ceilidh band Govannen, acoustic singer Calder McLaughlin, acoustic duo Monroe and the Rutland Youth Dance Academy.
Tickets cost £10 for adults and £3 for under 16s (must be accompanied by an adult) from www.wegottickets.com/event/274233 or from Music and More in High Street, Oakham.
All proceeds will go to the Karen Ball Fund which supports seriously ill people and their carers, and helps fund medical equipment in the county.
