Alan Wood murder to feature on BBC's Crimewatch

The murder of Lound man Alan Wood is to feature on the BBC's Crimewatch programme later this month.

Mr Wood, 50, was found dead at his home in Lound, near Bourne, on Saturday October 24 where he is believed to have suffered a sustained knife attack.

Police inquiries have shown that the suspect used Mr Wood's bank cards at cash machines in Stamford and Bourne. This latest footage is of a man officers believe could be the suspect, walking through Market Place in Bourne at around 9.40pm on October 22.

A Lincolnshire police spokesman said: "The Alan Wood murder investigation will feature as the lead story on the BBC's Crime Watch programme on January 27.

"It will involve a full reconstruction of events leading up to and after the murder. BBC crews will be filming in and around Lound, Stamford and Bourne in the next couple of weeks.

"If any individuals or businesses are asked to contribute to the filming, and they are happy to do so, Lincolnshire police would greatly appreciate their help."
