A couple were given the best possible start to the new year with the addition of a new member to their family.
Little Rufus Chiva was born to parents Kat and Mark Chiva, of Church Street, Deeping St James, on New Year’s Day at Peterborough City Hospital.
Proud dad Mark, 42, said: “We left for the hospital at 1.30am on New Year’s Day, so saw everyone coming out of the pubs on the way. It is great that he was born on New Year’s Day and I am sure that he will enjoy it when he is older. The midwives at the city hospital were fantastic.”
