A woman is appealing for anyone who is offered a distinctive watch for sale to contact police.
Janette Bradshaw and her boyfriend Claudio Gisonni were devastated to find that the Acurist watch, which has a blue face and a stainless steel strap, had been stolen from Claudio’s car.
The car had been left unlocked and thieves got in and took the watch, which was in the glove compartment, while he was at Janette’s home in Morton on Saturday, December 1.
Janette said the watch, which was worth about £250, was irreplacable because she gave it as a gift to Claudio, who lives in Stamford, for his 50th birthday.
It happened during a spate of car thefts in the village on that same night.
She is now appealing for anyone who is offered the watch for sale to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 381 of December 12.
