Artist Andrea Naylor gains distinction in her pet portraiture diploma
Andrea Naylor, from Whitwell, has passed her Pet Portraiture Diploma with distinction.
An artist was left with a big smile after achieving a high accolade for her work.
Andrea Naylor, 44, who lives in Main Road, Whitwell, has gained distinction in her pet portraiture diploma through the London Art College.
The diploma was an online, home study course which specialises in teaching how to draw and paint all types of pets using various mediums.
Andrea has been busy creating realistic portraits from photographs for people over the last eight years.
Andrea said: “I am delighted with the diploma and gaining distinction.
“I am very conscious that I achieve a good likeness to the subject and regard this as a very important factor when trying to portray features and character.
“When it comes down to it, there is nothing I would rather do.”
Andrea will be running some pastel workshops at Buttercross House in Oakham, starting on March 2. For more information call 01572 755597.
