Beekeeping talk will raise funds for South Lincolnshire cancer care charity
A talk on the importance of bees will raise funds for a cancer charity.
Stamford Arts Centre will host two speakers between 2pm and 5pm on March 1.
Rutland beekeeper and former trustee and secretary of the Leicestershire and Rutland Beekeepers Association George Shepherd will be joined by gardening expert and journalist Nigel Colborn at the event.
Mr Shepherd will talk about bees and beekeeping, while Mr Colborn will speak about creative planting in your garden.
Tickets for the event are £15, including tea, and there will also be stalls and a raffle.
All proceeds will go towards the South Lincolnshire branch of Marie Curie Cancer Care. To book call 01780 763203.
Last week Stamford and Bourne MP Nick Boles gave his backing to a Friends of the Earth campaign to protect bees.
