Almost 100 people went to church on a chilly morning to help bless farming equipment.
St Andrew’s Church in Rippingale held its annual Plough Sunday service yesterday (Sunday).
Parishioners of all ages turned up to see the blessing of modern and vintage ploughs. Youngsters were encouraged to bring toy tractors to be blessed by former farmer the Rev David Creasey and agricultural chaplain for Lincolnshire the Rev Canon Alan Robson.
Church warden Pam Bayliss said: “We had a fantastic day. We always have a good turnout but this year was particularly good.
“It was a lovely service. To see so many people was brilliant.”
