A plastics recycling company is looking to create 30 jobs after being granted permission to build two units on the outskirts of Bourne.
Blue sky plastic recycling has been given the green light by South Kesteven District Council to build two industrial units in South Fen Road.
The firm already has a site in South Fen Road but it is looking to expand and does not have the space to do so in its current location.
The new site, which was granted planning permission on Tuesday, will comprise two buildings and employ an extra 30 people.
One of the new units will contain a plastic pellet manufacturing plant which takes plastic waste materials and turns them into pellets for further industrial use.
Most of the 25,618 sq ft floor space would be taken up by the plant with some office and staff facilities.
A second neighbouring building, measuring 20,667sq ft, will initially be used for storage and will eventually house another production plant.
Access to the new facility will be from South Fen Road.
The site has been identified by the district council for employment use and is on the edge of an industrial estate.
The development will include 40 car and 16 bicycle parking spaces.
The plans were recommended for approval by council planning officers despite six letters raising concerns about the site.
One concern related to two large fires at the BW Riddle metal recycling plant in South Fen Road.
Blue Sky and BW Riddle are both owned by Chris Riddle, although they are stand alone companies.
Concerns were also raised on the ability of South Fen Road, which is in a poor state of repair, being unable to deal with an increase in heavy vehicles.
Lincolnshire County Council has requested a Section 106 payment of £25,000 to either pay for a path along South Fen Road to Cherry Holt Road or improvements to the same stretch of road.
