Police officers looking for a missing woman in Peterborough have discovered a body.

Julia Blacklock had not been seen since leaving her home on Monday evening (April 14).

An appeal for help to find her was issued by police.

The body of a woman was discovered in woodland near Elton at 10pm last night (Wednesday, April 16) and police have said it is believed to be that of Julia Blacklock, 48, of Orton Longueville, Peterborough.

No formal identification has taken place but Julia’s family have been updated.

There are no suspicious circumstances and a file will be passed to the coroner.
