Bourne Garden Club mark jubilee with tree planting

A gardening club have carried out its plans to commemorate the Queen’s diamond jubilee by planting a tree on Saturday.
Volunteers from Bourne Garden Club planted an apple tree in the community orchard being established by the Friends of Bourne Wood in the field adjacent to the Wood off Beech Avenue.

The Orchard which is to be maintained organically and should provide a good habitat for wildlife.
A wildflower meadow also will be created.
