Bourne Grammar School’s plan for six new classrooms is approved
A school has been granted permission to build a new classroom.
Bourne Grammar School applied to South Kesteven District Council to replace the old single-story food technology block with a two-storey building.
On Tuesday the council approved the plans.
The new building will have six classrooms and will be used to teach systems and control and computer lessons.
It will be bigger than the old block, which was demolished after the roof started to leak.
The school said the new building would accommodate the growing number of pupils at theschool.
A decision notice posted on the district council website said the new block would not interfere with the character of the street scene.
It also said the building would not overlook neigh-bours.
