High winds and cold rain didn’t stop two brothers from completing the first part of a charity challenge.
Jacob and Toby Bush, of Rous Court, Baston, took to the ski slopes in France last week with the aim of skiing 25 miles in one day.
Despite bad weather at the ski resort in Morzine, the brothers were determined to finish and even skied an extra two-and-a-half miles when they reached the bottom of the slope and realised they were 100 metres short so had to do another run.
They finished the ski in five-and-a-half hours.
Jacob, eight, said: “It was pretty hard but we powered through it.”
Toby, seven, added: “It was awesome and exciting doing the ski challenge.”
The boys set themselves the challenge to raise money for the British Heart Foundation in memory of their grandad and the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.
The second part of their challenge will see them cycle 25 miles around Rutland Water on March 7.
They have raised £1,300 so far. To sponsor them visit www.justgiving.com/teas/thebushboysbig50
