Burglars steal dozens of socks in Colsterworth break-in

Thieves have stolen socks from a house in Colsterworth.

Burglars broke into the house in Ash Close between 5.15pm and 10.30pm yesterday (Monday).

The criminals turned the house upside down and took between 20 to 30 pairs of socks.

Police said it is not known if anything else is missing at this time.

Anyone with information or who saw anything suspicious should call police on 101 and quote incident 404 of December 30.

Police are also seeking information after the theft of an antique bronze plaque worth hundreds of pounds.

The plaque, measuring 15in x 8in, was taken from a summer house in the Barn Hill area of Stamford.

The plague is believed to have been stolen on December 15. Police released information about the incident today (Tuesday).

Anyone who witnessed anything suspicious should quote incident 222 of December 30 when talking to police.
