A care trust is calling on people to hold a big tea party in a bid to raise funds.
The Evergreen Care Trust, which offers meals, support and friendship to people living in Stamford, Bourne, and the surrounding villages, launched the Big Tea Party last year in the grounds of Stamford Hospital.
The event was a success and sparked a great deal of interest, resulting in smaller tea parties throughout the summer.
Now this year, the trust is planning to hold the tea parties over one weekend between Friday, July 4, and Sunday, July 6, and is calling on people to back the idea by holding their own tea parties, either during that weekend or at a date to suit you.
If you are interested in holding a fundraising tea party of your own this summer, either big or small, then please call 01780 765900 so that further details and a tea party pack can be sent out to you.
Volunteers with the trust recently manned a stall during the Stamford Friday Market to raise the profile of the event.
Everything on the stall had a tea party theme, and in all, the trust raised £614.50 on the day.
Sue Cliffe, from Evergreen, said the trust was very grateful to supporters, clients, volunteers and staff who gave generously of their time and provided donations to the stall.
She also thanked businesses, which donated items for the stall, including, Walkers, Ewe Wool, Costa, Café Black, Lambs, Steamer Trading, Morrison’s, Beans, Cloud 9 and Harrison and Dunn.
