CANCELLED: Loros is forced to postpone Twilight Walk due to weather

The organisers of a fundraising walk have had to cancel the event which was due to be held tomorrow (Saturday) because of the weather.

Hospice charity Loros has postponed its Twilight Walk at the King Power Stadium in Leicester because of the heavy snow which is forecast for the area.

The walk, which goes around the city and raises funds for Loros, will now be held on April 13.

Event organiser Christian Weikert-Picker said: “I am very disappointed that we have had to postpone the Twilight Walk.

“The decision has been made as the safety of our 1,000 female participants and 90 volunteers has to take priority over fundraising.

“I apologise to all the ladies who were looking forward to the event but very much hope that they will join us on Saturday, April 13, which is our revised date.

“We are obviously now trying to ensure that all participants, volunteers, entertainers and vendors are informed.”
