Car destroyed in firework blaze

A FIREWORK is thought to have started a fire which destroyed a car and trailer tent.

Firefighters were called to Priory Road in Manton on Sunday night at 9.45pm where the parked car, tent and garage were alight.

The car and trailer tent were completely destroyed and there was some damage to the garage.

Firefighter Greg Shelton warned people to make sure fireworks are in a safe, open space before lighting them and to inform their neighbours.
