Harvey the dog who has now been rehomed was kept warmer this winter by heat pads bought with money raised by the Mutts Nutts Christmas card appeal

Rescued dogs enjoyed a warm winter despite the recent cold weather after they were bought heating mats.

Last year the Mutts Nutts launched a Christmas card appeal to raise funds.

The project was a collaboration between New College Stamford and the Mutts Nutts – working to support the dogs at Animal Helpline in Wansford.

The students, studying for a foundation degree in illustration, entered a competition to have their designs printed and sold locally. Students Tim Croft and Sally Coulter were selected as winners and had their design sold at various outlets in the area.

The sale of the cards generated £1,315 in profit.

About £1,000 went to buy the heat pads and the rest of the money went into coats and kennels.

The kennels are always looking to re-home as many dogs as possible. Shiloh the Lurcher is one of many looking for a new home. Call Animal Helpline on 07849 637862. The Mutts Nutts, fostering, fundraising and finding homes for our forsaken friends www.themuttsnutts.com
