Caspar, two, reunited with missing toys
Two-year-old Caspar Rawes and his favourite toys
A young boy has been reunited with his favourite toys after they went missing in Oakham.
Two-year-old Caspar Rawes lost his beloved small white rabbit and grey scruffy dog, on December 17.
His mum Claire made an appeal for their return and six days later she was contacted by traffic wardens at Oakham Town Council to say the pair had been handed in.
Claire, of Barmstedt Close, Oakham, said Caspar was “thrilled” to have his best friends back.
She said: “When Caspar was reunited with his toys, his eyes lit up, he was thrilled.
“It was spoiling Christmas up to that point but we’re so grateful for their return.”
Claire had put up a £50 reward for the return of the toys but after the traffic wardens refused the cash, she donated the money to a Big Issue seller in the town and children’s charity Unicef.
