Casterton prom night success

PUPILS dressed up, arrive in style and danced the night away at a school prom night on Friday.

Casterton Business and Enterprise College held its annual event, which is organised by the pupils themselves, at Stamford's Lady Anne's Hotel.

The young people arrived in classic cars, dressed in elegant dresses and tuxedos before enjoying an evening of food and music in a marquee pitched at the grounds of the histroric hotel.

It provided some welcome relief from the hard graft of revision as the Year 11 pupils undertake their GCSE exams this summer, with the event an annual fixture on the school calendar.

College spokesman Michala Ticehurst said the school had been impressed with the pupils' fundraising and planning efforts to make the event a success.

She added: "It was a successful evening and the pupils really enjoyed themselves. They had made a real effort to ensure it went well."
