A company which is building a new care home in Deeping St James is running a competition to name it.

Barchester Healthcare has called on schools and the community to come up with an inspiring name for the 60-bed home on Spalding Road.

The competition was launched at William Hildyard Primary School where each entrant will receive a £5 gift voucher. If the winning name is submitted by a child, their school will receive £100 worth of book vouchers and if the winner is a member of the public, Barchester will donate £500 to their chosen charity.

Marketing manager Carole Thain said: “This is an excellent opportunity to get everyone engaged in the project. We want to create and maintain excellent relationships within the communities where our homes are located.”

Entries must be e-mailed to newhome@barchester.com by the end of Friday.

The home is due to open in the autumn.
