Chance to show off your musical skills in youth competition

Talented youngsters have been invited to enter a music contest.

The Rotary Club of Bourne is holding its 20th annual Young Musician competition at Bourne Academy on January 27.

Six categories can be entered in three age groups - junior, six to 10 years, intermediate, 11 to 13 years, and

senior, 14 to 17 years.

All types of instrument and musical genre are permitted and the contest is not held in line with grade pieces.

The overall winner and Rotary

Club of Bourne Young Musician of the Year will receive the Silverwood Trophy, which is awarded in memory of the late Rotarian Mike Silverwood. Youngsters can enter through their school or independently by calling Richard Wells on 01778 570370 or e-mailing rexcons@aol.com.
