Chance to view turbines

A FARMER is inviting people on to his land next weekend to take a close look at wind turbines in action.

Nicholas Watts, who farms land at Baston and the Deepings, is holding an open day at Vine House Farm, Deeping St Nicholas, to coincide with Social Enterprise Day.

On Sunday, November 19, visitors will be given the chance to stand under a turbine and see for themselves how they produce green energy.

Mr Watts said: "Social Enterprise Day asks businesses and organisations to open their doors to the public to show them how social enterprises change lives.

"3,000 people have visited our turbines already this year, and I wanted to give people another chance."

Vine House Farm will be open from 10am until 3.30pm, and entry is 2.
