Children spent the weekend learning about wildlife at a farm park and there will be more fun-filled activities running throughout the week.
Sacrewell Farm and Country Centre, near Wansford, started its Wildlife Week on Saturday to coincide with half-term. Over the weekend dozens of children enjoyed the activities on offer, although visitor numbers were affected by bad weather.
There’s a nature trail to be enjoyed, which is now a permanent fixture at the farm, as well as a small mammal safari. Youngsters were also able to make their own bird feeders and origami foxes or take part in colouring or quizzes.
Marketing and communications officer Megan Horner said: “The children who came over the weekend had lots of fun and made lots of mess and we hope that families will come along this week and learn about wildlife.”
The activities will be on offer throughout the week. Sacrewell Farm is open daily between 9.30am and 5pm. For details on admission prices or more information call 01780 782254 or visit www.sacrewell.org.uk
