Christmas run for Motorcycle Action Group
Thornton Holmes, front centre, and fellow members of Peterborough Motorcycle Action Group on their first ever Christmas Crinkly Run to Peterborough City Hospital, bringing presents to the elderly
A group of motorcyclists brought a smile to hospital patients spending Christmas Day in hospital when they delivered a haul of gifts.
Members of the Peterborough Motorcycle Action Group raised £250 to buy gifts including toiletries, slippers and pyjamas.
They then travelled in convoy from Sycamore Harley-Davidson in Uppingham to Peterborough City Hospital, where they handed the gifts to grateful elderly patients.
It is the first time the group has done the good deed, which it called the Christmas Crinkly Run and Mark Parker, a member of the group, said: “The response has been so enthusiastic that we will definitely hold it again next year.”
