A man who enjoyed a dream holiday with money donated by generous people has given the money left over to charity.

Colin Ketteringham, 51, of Daisy Court, Bourne, pledged to take his family on holiday after he was diagnosed with the degenerative condition multiple system atrophy.

Colin began raising funds with the help of the Bourne and District Lions Club, who set up the Ketteringham Holiday of a Lifetime Fund.

Colin, his wife Louise, 36, and his six children, enjoyed the three-week trip to Florida last month.

Colin handed over the remaining cash - just short of £200 - to the Bourne branch of the Royal British Legion last week.
