As part of Baston Primary School’s efforts to recognise St George’s Day, headteacher Rebecca Mills said pupils could wear their uniforms from Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.

The school held a special assembly and the children brightened up the classrooms as they wore a different uniform around the school.

Mrs Mills said: “We are proud that so many of our pupils were able to wear a different uniform into school for St George’s Day and
they should all be proud of their out-of-school achievements.”

Our picture, left, shows the proud youngsters sporting their very colourful uniforms.
