A couple from Uppingham got the best Christmas present they could ever wish for with the arrival of their little baby boy Arthur.
Proud mum Olivia Gilmore gave birth to Arthur Geoff Linnell on Christmas Day morning after being in labour for 22 hours at Leicester General Hospital.
The little boy weighed in at 7lbs 11oz and mum, Olivia, 29, dad, Bob Linnell, 37, and big half-sister Phoebe, five, were delighted at his arrival.
Olivia, who lives in Queen’s Road, Uppingham, said: “It was a bit of a shock but it’s made a lovely Christmas for us.
“We decided to call him Arthur, after the film Arthur Christmas.
“He was due on December 12 and I had to had a c-section but we’re all healthy.
“Arthur’s my first child but he’s got a big sister Phoebe, who is Bob’s daughter. She had to wait a long time for him but she’s been excellent and has been wearing her best big sister T-shirt.”
