These are the results from recent hearings at magistrates’ courts in the area.

Spalding Magistrates’ Court, December 19, 2013

Dale Withers, 33, of Recreation Ground Road, Stamford, admitted driving off from a petrol station in Holbeach Road, Spalding, without paying for £20.02 of fuel. He was ordered to pay £20.02 in compensation.

Philip Malone, 37, of Churchfield Close, Deeping St James, admitted assaulting two men in The Deeping Stage, Market Deeping, on April 29.

He was given a 16-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, placed 
under supervision, and banned from The Deeping Stage for a year. He was also ordered to pay compensation of £100 and a victim surcharge of £80.

Grantham Magistrates’ Court, December 23, 2013

Kerry Winspear, 42, of High Street, Little Bytham, admitted drink driving in Station Road, Little Bytham on November 28. A breath test gave a reading of 123. The legal limit is 35. She was disqualified from driving for 30 months, was ordered to take part in a drink impaired drivers programme for 14 days, placed under supervision, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £60.

Loughborough Magistrates’ Court, December 23

Ian Gosling, 60, of Stamford Road, South Luffenham, was found guilty of failing to identify a driver alleged of being guilty of an offence in Leicester on July 22. He was disqualified from driving for six months, fined £600, and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £60.

Aldo Andy, 35, of Derwent Drive, Oakham, admitted driving without insurance, a valid MoT certificate and tax disc in Tinwell on July 4. He was disqualified from driving for six months, fined £260 and ordered to pay costs of £60 and a victim surcharge of £26.

Loughborough Magistrates’ Court, December 30

Andrew Rodger, 19, of Spring Close, Market Overton, admitted drink driving in Rutland on December 1. A breath test gave a reading of 51 the legal limit is 35. He also admitted possessing a quantity of cocaine on the same date. He was disqualified from driving for 14 months, fined £100, ordered to pay costs of £50 and a victim surcharge of £20.

Alexander Scott, 26, of Firs Avenue, Uppingham, admitted drink driving in Burton 
Lazars on December 4. A breath test gave a reading of 52 – the legal limit is 35. 
He was disqualified from driving for 14 months, fined £100 and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £20.

Peterborough Magistrates’ Court, December 30, 2013

James McLees, 28, of Newport Way, Ufford, admitted stealing clothing, toiletries and kitchen utensils from shops in Stamford including Oxfam, Wilkinson, Age UK, Marks & Spencer and Homebase, all on October 29, He was given a six-month community order, placed under supervision for six months and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £60.

Grantham Magistrates Court, December 30, 2013

Benjamin Barber, 28, of Roman Bank, Stamford, admitted assaulting a woman and damaging an iPhone worth £250 in Newquay, Cornwall, on September 22. He was ordered to carry out 160 hours of unpaid community work within the next 12 months and ordered to pay compensation of £500, costs of £200 and a victim surcharge of £60.

Diane Hopkins, 52, of Kesteven Road, Stamford, admitted drink driving in Ryhall Road, Stamford on December 7. A breath test gave a reading of 64. The legal 
limit is 35. She was
 disqualified from driving for 18 months, fined £375 and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of 
£37.

Jacek Twardowski, 30, of Willowby Road, Stamford, admitted drink driving in Drift Avenue, Stamford on December 7. A breath test gave a reading of 61 – the legal limit is 35. He was disqualified from driving for 18 months, fined £300 and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £30.

Kennie Owen, 35, of the Deepings Caravan Park, Market Deeping, admitted trying to steal from a trailer in Longcliffe Road, Grantham, and possessing 11.87g of amphetamine in Avenue Road, Grantham, on August 7. He also admitted stealing a wardrobe and chest of drawers worth £145 from Avenue Road, Grantham, between July 17 and August 1. He was ordered to take 
part in a thinking skills programme for 20 days and placed under supervision. He was also ordered to pay compensation of £145, a victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £20.

Jason Darby, 40, of Crowson Crescent, Northborough, admitted assaulting a woman and damaging the front door of a property in Crowson Way, Deeping St James, between November 17 and 18. 
He was ordered to take part in an alcohol programme for five days and a building better relationships programme for 29 days. He was placed 
under supervision and was ordered not to contact his victim until June 30. He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £85.
