These are the results from recent hearings at magistrates’ courts around the area. We do not carry minor speeding offences.

Loughborough Magistrates’ Court, March 5

Andrew Fox, 30, of Branston Road, Uppingham, admitted using £275.13 of electricity without the authority to do so.

He was ordered to pay £275.13 in compensation and undertake 60 hours of unpaid work within the next year.

Grantham Magistrates’ Court, March 5

Crispin Trigg, 32, of Main Street, Cottesmore, was found guilty of failing to identify the driver of a vehicle alleged to have been guilty of an offence in Nettleham on October 8. He was fined £600, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £60, and had six points put on his licence.

Eric Clayton, 26, of Nook Lane, Empingham, was found guilty of driving without due care and attention, failing to stop after an accident and failing to report the accident to the police. He had seven points put on his licence, fined £145 and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £20.

Janusz Klosowski, 27, of The Pollards, Bourne, was found guilty of driving without insurance or a valid MoT certificate in Exeter Street, Bourne, on February 9. He was fined £800 and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £60.

A 13-year-old girl from Bourne, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, admitted possessing a knife in a public place on January 13.

She was ordered to attend meetings of a youth offender panel for six months and pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £15.

Grantham Magistrates’ Court, March 7

Paula Fuller, 40, of Wheatfield, Langtoft, admitted driving without insurance in Corby Glen on September 15. She was fined £335, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £34, and had six points put on her licence.

Terrence Freeman, 71, of Barholm Road, Tallington, was found guilty of driving while not wearing a seatbelt in Cherryholt Lane, Stamford, on September 19. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £20.

Loughborough Magistrates’ Court, March 10

Amanda Bull, 35, of Station Road, Oakham, admitted driving without insurance, a licence or a valid MoT certificate in Station Road, Oakham, on January 17. She had eight points put on her licence, was fined £100 and ordered to pay costs of £20 and a victim surcharge of £20.

Grantham Magistrates’ Court, March 10

Danny Hedges, 23, of Grosvenor Avenue, Bourne, admitted being drunk and disorderly and possessing an open can of alcohol while prohibited from doing so by an anti-social behaviour order in Abbey Road, Bourne, on March 8.

He also admitted breaching a suspended sentence. He was put under supervision, ordered to take treatment for alcohol dependency as per a court order imposed on February 20, and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £60.

Ian Cook, 28, of Willoughby Road, Bourne, admitted drink driving, driving without due care and attention and failing to stop after crashing into a telephone post in West Road, Bourne, on October 13. A blood test showed an alcohol reading of 141 – the legal limit is 80. He was disqualified
 from driving for three years, fined £420, and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £42.

Darren Sheridan, 35, of Black Prince Avenue, Market Deeping, admitted stealing meat worth £43.52 from the Co-operative in Market Deeping. He was fined £75 and ordered to pay compensation of £43.52 and a victim surcharge of £40.

Grantham Magistrates’ Court, March 12

Louis Lawson, 20, of Braeburn Road, Deeping St James, admitted assaulting a man in Thackers Way, Market Deeping, on September 16 and failing to surrender to custody. He was given a community order, told to take treatment for drug dependency for six months and placed under supervision. He was also ordered to pay compensation of £200, a victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £40.

Grantham Magistrates’ Court, March 14

Steven Brain, 23, of The Parslins, Deeping St James, admitted driving while not wearing a seatbelt in Northborough Road, Deeping St James, on September 21. He was fined £35, ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £20.

Shaun Doyle, 68, of Rosehip Road, Morton, admitted driving without insurance in Abbey Road, Bourne, on September 20. He had six points put on his licence, was fined £375 and ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £38.

Grantham Magistrates’ Court, March 15

Martin Prince, of Barleycroft Road, Corby Glen, admitted stealing food from the Co-operative store in High Street, Corby Glen, on March 13, and from Lidl in Union Street, Grantham, on March 14. He was ordered to carry out 40 hours of unpaid community work within six months and pay a victim surcharge of £60.
