Crowds turnout for festive carol concert at Oakham Castle

Crowds of people packed into Oakham Castle for a special concert.

Carols in the Castle was held at the venue on Thursday and included items by Catmose Primary School choir, with carols accompanied by the Rutland Wind Ensemble.

A number of poems were read by readers including Richard Adams, representing Rutland Historic Churches Preservation Trust, Jackie Sellwood from Oakham in Bloom, Oakham mayor Coun Adam Lowe, Joyce Lucas of Oakham Knit and Natter Group, and Oakham town councillor Rob Guthrie.

The High Sheriff of Rutland Trish Ruddle also attended.
