Cubs learn about bus service

A group of 26 cubs have visited their local bus station as they work towards their community badge.

The youngsters from 1st Pointon Baden Powell scout group visited the Delaine bus depot on Wednesday last week.

Group scout master Steve Warcup said: “We were there to find out about local services because part of it is about the travel network.”

The group listened to a talk from owner Anthony Delaine-Smith, who led a question and answer session before giving the group a guide of the facility, finishing with a ride through the bus “car wash.”

Steve said: “The kids had a wail of a time, they were screaming and laughing going through the car wash.”
