Cutts Close in Oakham set for summer of concerts

A host of summer concerts are set to be held at Cutts Close Park in Oakham.

Oakham Town Council is putting on its summer programme of music with the first show taking place on June 29, when Wrinkle Rock take to the stage.

There will be seven concerts held fortnightly until September 14.

The free events will start at 2pm.

Bands playing include Deeping Dixielanders, The Melton Band, the Wississippi Jazzmen and Youth Brass 2000.

Oakham deputy mayor Coun Alf Dewis said: “Why not come along and enjoy a Sunday afternoon listening to good music in the open air.”
