A village film group has been saved from closure thanks to generous donations from two community groups.
Ketton Film Club has been given more than £1,000 by the village post office and a grant of more than £2,600 from the Whitebread Trust, a local organisation supporting local causes.
The money will be put towards a projector and screen for the club, which shows films at the Northwick Arms pub.
It was nearly forced to close after Oundle Cinema could no longer provide the equipment. Member Malcolm Desforges said: “George and Angie Angus at the post office have always been fantastic at raising funds and we are so grateful for their generosity.”
