People celebrated the Easter holidays with a range of activities.

Residents of Blackstones Court in Stamford made colourful Easter bonnets on Thursday last week. More than 30 people gathered to get creative and enjoy and afternoon of sandwiches, cakes and drinks.

Jean Valentine’s creation was judged to be the winner.

The Central England Co-operative shop in the Burghley Centre, Bourne, spent Easter raising funds for the Willoughby School with a tombola.

Store community champion Steve Diamond said: “The Easter tombola was a huge success and we raised £270.”

And residents and staff at Qu’appelle Care Home in Bourne had a fun-filled Easter Monday, enjoying an Easter egg hunt and a bonnet-making competition. In the evening the home hosted an Italian-themed quiz.
