A young circus performer will step on stage with Simon Cowell this weekend on the new series of Britain’s Got Talent.

The episode tomorrow (Saturday) at 7pm will feature big-top specialist Edward Pinder, from Bisbrooke. The 11-year-old, who performs alongside his family in Pinder’s Circus, showed off his whipping and knife-throwing skills.

Edward and parents Eddie and Erika have been sworn to secrecy about whether the act makes it through to the next round. But rumours are already spreading that the youngster’s performance tempted Simon Cowell out of his seat to take part in the act.

Edward had already auditioned for the show in previous years and said he was surprised to make it through to the live round this year.

But despite the bright lights and glare of the television cameras, he is used to performing live and was quite relaxed for the show.

The same couldn’t be said for his parents when faced with the prospect of their son throwing knives at Simon Cowell.

Tune in tomorrow to see how he fared.
