Family pays tribute to soldier killed on A1 at South Witham
Stuart Young was killed in a crash on the A1 on Saturday.
The family of a soldier killed in a crash on the A1 at South Witham on Saturday have paid tribute to an “amazing man loved by many”.
Stuart Young, 24, of Glenrothes, Fife in Scotland was killed in a two car collision on the A1 southbound at about 5.20pm on Saturday.
Stuart’s family said: “Stuart’s death has left a hole in our hearts.
“Stuart was our hero, he was an amazing young man loved by many. Stuart’s first love was being a soldier, he loved his family and friends and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.”
Mr Young was driving a blue Ford Focus when the car collided with a blue Volkswagen Passat driven by a 30-year-old man from Kirton near Boston.
The man from Kirton suffered minor injuries in the accident and has since been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and released on police bail pending further inquiries.
