A charity dress sale raised more than £1,270 for a dog rescue centre.

The Barking Mad sale was held at Braceborough Village Hall on Thursday last week and designer second-hand clothes were on sale, as well as cakes and drinks. There was a boutique feel as each item was individually gift-wrapped.

The event was opened by TV presenter Catherine Gee.

It was raising funds for Three Counties Dog Rescue Centre in Bourne and volunteers from the centre took along some of the dogs, adding to the atmosphere at the event.

Jane Means, one of the organisers, said: “I was really surprised at how successful it was and how much we raised. It really was a fantastic day.”
