Fire station work on schedule

The first phase of construction work at Oakham fire station has been completed.

The station’s training house has been demolished and the re-roofing of the building and refurbishment of the appliance bay has been done by contractors GF Tomlinson. The full building redevelopment is due to be completed on April 12. Firefighters will then re-occupy the station. They are currently using temproary buildings on the site. External work will be completed by the end of May.
