Flood alerts issued in south Lincolnshire, Rutland and east Northamptonshire

Drivers have been warned to take care as standing water has gathered on rural roads.

Police have reported flooding on the A15 at Laughton and Folkingham.

Several minor accidents were also reported yesterday evening (Wednesday) on the A15 at Rippingale as a result of the wet weather.

The Environment Agency has issued flood alerts for the East and West Glens, around Grimsthorpe, the Bythams, Witham-on-the-Hill and Greatford, for watercourses of South Forty Foot Drain, around Billingborough, for River Welland tributaries in north Rutland and for the River Nene south of Wansford.
