Fly fishing enthusiasts will be heading to Uppingham on Sunday, March 2 for the Rutland Spring Fly Fair.
The event, at Uppingham Community College sports hall will feature retailers selling tackle, clothing, materials and flies along with main-line manufacturers, local fisheries and fly fishing associations.
Entry to the fair, which runs from 10am to 3pm is £4, which along with a raffle will go entirely to the Casting for Recovery charity, a breast cancer charity that supports recovering patients who have had surgery.
The action of casting a fly rod is known to be a great way of rehabilitating the muscle and tissue after surgery.
Demonstrations of fly tying and casting will go on all day.
Entry for accompanied juniors under 16 is free.
This is the third time the event has been held and so far more than £2,000 for the charity.
